Our farm home has been transformed into comfortable place to relax and enjoy for your stay here at The Space Retreats.
With pricing options based on whether you choose to stay in the original farm house with all the comforts of home, or the old school room now transformed into comfortable lodgings with kitchenette and bathroom, just steps away from the main house.
Our retreats are small groups of up to 7 people. The main house offers 4 private bedrooms and the school room, a private bedroom and 1 shared room.

This weekend is hosted by Jillian Prince & guest facilitator Lesley Parkes
Jill is a Somatic Therapy Facilitator, Holotrophic Breathwork Facilitator, Coach, Mentor, Mother and Horsewoman, living on a stunning 50 thousand acre property, a powerful landscape, 80 kms south of Cobar, with her husband and two daughters.
A life time with Horses has gifted Jill some incredible lessons that have been instrumental in shaping who she is today. Here at The Space, Jill shares these heart-centred and connection-based lessons and gifts with visitors from all over Australia.
"The Space", it’s all about sharing time with like-minded people and Jill is driven by a commitment to draw out guests’ innate ability to self heal, and to help them harness this moving forward. She works with people who are interested in learning more about what makes them think, move, show up and interact with the world around them.

Lesley is a movement coach, Apnea Survival Instructor, women’s circle host and bodywork massage therapist. Natural energy flow is the essence of what she does and who she is. A lover of the wild’s natural beauty, Lesley finds a sanctuary of both peace and empowerment in the great outdoors. When she’s not facilitating you’ll find her surfing, hiking, dancing or planning her next adventure.
Much of Lesley’s work is rooted in her time on Country and rich cultural experiences. Learning from Indigenous Elders, facilitating empowerment programs in remote regions, and supporting communities across Australia, Nepal, India, Vietnam, and Mongolia awakened a profound understanding of what modern society so often forgets: the need to slow down, move with purpose, live with clear intention and integrity, honour the land and animals and act for the greater good of the village.
Through conscious movement, breathwork, active presence, heart-centered connection, deep listening, elemental immersion, and sacred practices, we reconnect with our own authenticity—and with one another. This is the path to liberating and embodying the soul self, and to awakening the true power of community.
In the Presence of The Horses: The horses really are the star of The Space Retreat experience.
Horses are highly sensitive to humans emotional states. They can synchronize a humans heart rhythms with theirs, in doing this also influence the brains wave lengths. When a horses electromagnetic field will influence a humans and when heart and brain wave length of the horse match incredible healing can occur. The magnificent team of horses are already anticipating your arrival.
Breathwork and Mediation sessions: A mix of meditation and breathwork sessions, including but not limited to Kumbhaka, Coherence breathing, lessons that Lesley she has learnt in her Cold Water Immersion Training Apnea Survival. We will also facilitate and hold you through a Holotrophic Breath Ceremony over the weekend as part of your transformative experience.
Somatic Practices: "Somatic" means a felt sense in the body. Somatic healing practices allow you to trace, feel and express what your nervous system is biologically wired to do. Weather being led through meditation or movement, being supported to stay connected to your body and breath allows you to process stored traumas and allow your body to release it in a safe and supported way leading to healing, both physical and metaphysical level.
Connected Movement & Fascia Release: Be led through conscious movement patterns session that not only release the fascia that stores information and memory and create new patterns of movement. Releasing fascia Releasing fascial restrictions can help alleviate pain and unlock emotional healing by influencing the nervous system and promoting tissue relaxation. You can release and let go of the story and memory that you hold in your body.

The landscape at Lachlan Downs is very powerful, a ancient sea shoreline holds the power and presence of ancient times and the lives that have walked upon it. It has story and medicine to share with us.

BY ROAD
From the South (Condo) - 86 kms from Mt Hope on the Kidman Way you will see a sign to the Manuka Mine. Turn left here. Follow this road until you hit a T intersection, turn Right towards Cobar. You know your at Lachlan Downs when you go over a grid with big white tyres each side. A few more kms down the road the country side will open up and you will see some cliffs off to the left, the mail box is after the next grid. Turn left and follow the road and turn left towards the green barn.Note there is no fuel between us and Condo.
From the North (Cobar) - Follow the Lerida Road out past the hospital, this road turns into the Bedooba Road, We are aprox. 80 kms. You know you are at Lachlan Downs when you cross over Sandy Creek. aprox. 5 kms down the road the mail box is on the right. Turn right and follow the road and turn left towards the green barn.

You can fly direct from Sydney to Cobar (CAZ) . Transport from Cobar to Lachlan Downs Station can be arranged after you have booked your flights . Contact Jill via email to arrange. NOTE: Flights to Cobar can get booked up quickly so don't leave it to late to book.
Outback weather can be warm in the day but cooler at night. We suggest you bring a mix of clothing.
+ Warm jacket for the evenings and early mornings
+ Your work boots, for when we're with the horses (protective boots)
+ Slip on comfy shoes/slippers for inside the house
+ Raincoat
+ For winter months: Beanie, Gloves and Neck Warmer
During our retreats we will spend time with the horses.
Our sessions are conducted with horses at liberty, which means at no time will you have control of a horse. This approach encourages both parties to express themselves freely, leading to honest and authentic experiences.
During the session, we will focus on developing our awareness, connection, and expectations. We will also engage in a few fun activities with them and in doing so, they will show us when we are being congruent and honest.
If you feel nervous around horses, please don't worry. We have no expectations for you to achieve anything in particular, and we will work together to create a safe and supportive environment for your experience.
